Even before COVID, there were challenges of how the line between work at home has been blurry. Employees and employers had to change office locations, voice, and internet on a dime to save the organization and keep the populace safe.
However, organizations must now firm up their procedures to provide employees with the necessary tools to work safely and ensure that assigned tasks are completed.
The use of personal phones should be stopped or at least limited, and the use of personal Wi-Fi can be a threat to hacks, abuse, or espionage.
While some organizations allow SIP phones connected to the home network, many people still use personal phones for business purposes, and companies should address this issue
. Mobile Apps are efficient tools for solving these challenges.
Five reasons an organization should merge mobile apps to work with personal phones:
1. Employees do not want to display their personal Caller ID on business calls.
2. An organization might not have the information required to review data harassment and threats in litigation if made over a personal phone.
3. Legal and Medical systems have strict rules to protect clients' information.
4. An organization can lose critical information if a manager or salesperson leaves without giving the call information before they go.
5. People want access to their company's CRM with contact info when on the road.
